Artist, Tom Swimm, will be the recipient of 2018 LBAA (Laguna Beach Arts Alliance) Lifetime Achievement Award on April 29, 2018, at the 12th Annual Art Star Awards.

An artist whose life has been guided by many creative pursuits, Tom Swimm transitioned from a successful career as a commercial artist to an accomplished fine artist who exhibits his work in galleries across the country. Nationally known and internationally collected, his paintings are included in some of the most prestigious private and corporate collections in America, Asia and Europe. His painting methods have been published in five art instruction books as well as videos that are available worldwide and he has also illustrated children books. Not only is Tom Swimm an award-winning painter, but he is also published playwright, actor, musician, who produced an original song that is included in the archive of the 9/11 Memorial Museum as well as being a screenwriter and teacher. His stage plays have been produced in Las Vegas, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Diego. Tom has exhibited his artwork at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts for over 30 years, and continues to create vivid images at his studio in Laguna Beach. Tom is a SAG actor, a member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, Oil Painters of America, the Writer’s Guild and past President of the San Clemente Art Association.
